Moon Star Rebellion

Heaven-plate Bing over earth-plate Bing: two fires share one palace, forming the Bing Fu Yin known as Moon Wonder in Rebellion (Yue Qi Bei Shi). It portends pressing paperwork, repeated reversals, and losses through waste and misplacement — better to hold still than to act.

Formation

Heaven plate Bing + Earth plate Bing

Classical Verse

丙为悖兮庚为格,格则不通悖乱逆。(Bing is rebellion and Geng is obstruction; obstruction blocks the way, and rebellion breeds disorder.)

《烟波钓叟歌(Song of the Misty Waves Fisherman)》

In Depth

Bing is the Moon Wonder, fierce and restless by nature. When heaven-plate Bing lands on earth-plate Bing, the two fires pile up in one palace — the Fu Yin of Bing, known to the ancients as Moon Wonder in Rebellion (Yue Qi Bei Shi), or simply Bing Bei. How the pattern forms: among the ten stems, Bing governs rebellion and disorder — as the Song of the Misty Waves Fisherman puts it, Bing is rebellion and Geng is obstruction. With two Bing in the same palace, the fire doubles yet cannot circulate; the qi smolders and clogs, so everything feels rushed and chaotic — documents press for answers while plans stall and repeat. Where it sits on the scale: an inauspicious pattern, but its harm lies in confusion rather than destruction. Expect paperwork pressure, waste and misplaced items, and matters that loop without progress — nothing approaching outright catastrophe. Points to note: Fu Yin already means delay; if the palace also meets the Void (Kong Wang), the stagnation deepens and both good news and bad arrive late. With inauspicious doors such as Death, Fright, or Injury, losses grow heavier — guard against rash moves that make a bad situation worse. Auspicious doors and stars can temper the disorder. Most to be avoided is Bing entering its tomb palace, where its light turns inward and the murk thickens. In action, meet motion with stillness: postpone key moves, straighten out the documents and contracts at hand, check every receipt line by line, and wait until the chart turns and the fire finds an outlet before advancing. Above all, never sign off in haste under pressure — the more you rush, the worse the tangle.

Readings by Topic

Career

Paperwork, approvals, and reporting are prone to error under pressure, and proposals get revised endlessly without reaching a final draft. This is no time to volunteer for missions or push new plans; check contract and document details carefully and wait for a window. Beware of snap decisions made under a superior's urgent orders.

Wealth

The pattern points to waste and loss: accounts fall into disarray, payments get duplicated, receipts go missing. Avoid new investments, contracts, or lending; instead take stock, reconcile the books, and call in old debts. With inauspicious doors present, guard all the more against losses from impatient trades.

Relationships

Two fires side by side leave both parties short-tempered, and old grievances resurface into repeated quarrels. Confessions, proposals, and reconciliations all suffer from the excess heat — let things cool for a few days first. Weigh your words carefully in written messages, lest a heated line become a lasting grievance.

Health

With fire stacked on fire, watch the heart and cerebrovascular system, blood pressure, eye troubles, and inflammatory fevers; insomnia born of agitation is also common. Conditions tend to relapse, so never skip follow-up visits. When inauspicious doors are present, chronic patients should guard against flare-ups of old illness.

Travel

Journeys are marked by rushing, rebooking, and doubling back, and itineraries easily descend into confusion. Unless the matter is urgent, postpone and pick another date. If you must set out, confirm tickets and documents in advance and leave room for changes, lest papers lost en route derail the trip.

Disputes & Lawsuits

Pressing paperwork is the very image of litigation here: summonses demand action, materials are returned for endless resubmission, and proceedings drag without resolution. Initiating a suit is unfavorable — settle or play for time. Keep evidence and documents complete and in order, lest a missing key paper put you on the defensive.
