Three Nobles & Six Yi

Bing Noble

One of the Three Wonders, called the Moon Wonder. The stem Bing is yang Fire, imaged as sunlight shining over all. It governs authority, ceremony, eminence, and sudden events; with an auspicious door its momentum can be used, but entering the tomb or under restraint, its blaze abruptly dims.

In Depth

Bing is one of the Three Wonders of Qimen, called the Moon Wonder. The stem Bing is yang Fire, imaged as the light of the sun — blazing and outward. Its imagery covers authority, ceremony, civilization, fame, energy, and optics and electricity, and it also stands for people of fiery temperament and for sudden, explosive events. Bing's fire is fierce: at its best, supremely auspicious; at its worst, equally violent. With auspicious doors and stars in a flourishing palace, it means a name rising fast and power in hand — the road to fame and office lies open and bright. With inauspicious doors and patterns, the fire slips its leash: rashness, clashes, and trouble flaring without warning. Bing flourishes in summer; landing in the ninth palace, Li, it is enthroned and its flame burns brightest; landing in the Qian palace it enters its tomb at Xu and its blaze abruptly dims; in winter, when Water reigns, it is restrained. Bing over the earth-plate stems forms further patterns: over Wu, the Flying Bird Falls into the Nest — greatly auspicious; over Geng, Ying Entering Taibai — guard against thieves and losses; over Gui, the Canopy Defies the Master — hidden hands work harm; two Bing in one palace make the Moon Wonder Defying the Master — documents press hard. Bing is also the Rebel: heaven-plate Bing over the stem of the year, month, day, or hour throws affairs into disorder, and every step wants caution. Use Bing openly and boldly: seeking fame, interviews, performances, winning a mandate — its light and momentum serve best. Points to note: Bing with Void means a loud name and little substance; pressed by a door, the fire turns inward — guard the tongue and the heart, and leave margin in everything.

Readings by Topic

Career

Bing governs authority and renown. With an auspicious door in a flourishing palace, compete openly, present and report, and reach for a mandate — superiors' favor comes quickly. With an inauspicious door, brilliance invites trouble: the more you shine, the more you are picked at. Inside institutions, impeccable courtesy counts for more than displayed talent.

Wealth

Bing's wealth comes fast and scatters fast. It favors energy, optics and electronics, media, and entertainment. With an auspicious door, ride the moment and profit from the buzz. Over Geng, guard against thieves and losses — mind account security. In fire-natured trades, resist expanding greedily; quit while you're ahead.

Relationships

Bing in the palace of love means instant sparks — ardent and direct, with the look of a whirlwind romance. In marriage readings, Bing often marks the fiery-tempered partner; guard against tempers colliding and small things detonating big fights. Before committing in the heat of passion, watch one more season — true feeling shows when the fever cools.

Health

Bing is yang Fire, corresponding to the heart, blood pressure, eyes, and small intestine. In illness readings, guard against inflammation, fever, and acute cardiovascular events — they come on fast, so go straight to emergency care rather than wait. Those whose heart-fire runs high should avoid late nights and rage. Bing in its tomb means an illness mild on the surface but lurking within — follow-up tests are essential.

Travel

Bing governs light and also haste. Setting out with an auspicious door, the way is clear — travel by day. With an inauspicious door, guard against fire hazards and hot-headed incidents: control your speed, and don't leave chargers or flammables loose about you. On long summer trips beware the heat; leaving off-peak is steadier.

Disputes & Lawsuits

Bing governs clear-cut right and wrong. In litigation with auspicious doors and stars, the case can be argued in the open, and exposure works in your favor. Over the stem of the year, month, day, or hour it forms the Rebel pattern — affairs tangle and the case sprouts complications. Say little in anger; in court, speak only to the evidence.
