🔑 How It Forms
Lu Cun's position is set by the heavenly stem of the birth year (Yin for a Jia year, Mao for a Yi year, and so on) and stays fixed for life; Hua Lu, by contrast, is one of the birth-year Four Transformations, produced when that stem activates a major star, so its palace follows wherever that star sits. Both must enter the Life Palace's trinity (the palace itself + the opposite palace + the two trine palaces, four in all) — seated in the Life Palace itself, or shining in from the opposite palace or a trine palace, in either order — and that forms Shuang Lu Chao Yuan (Double Wealth). Should Lu Cun and Hua Lu happen to land in one and the same palace, that goes by the separate name of stacked Lu (two Lu piled into one palace, more concentrated in force) and is a different pattern.

To read this judgement you first have to separate the two kinds of wealth involved — otherwise it is unclear why one step looks for a star and the next looks for a transformation. Lu Cun is an actual star whose position depends solely on the birth-year stem: a Jia year always puts it at Yin, an Yi year at Mao, fixed for life, like a base salary written into a contract. Hua Lu is not a star at all but a mark the birth-year stem stamps onto one of the major stars; in a Jia year it rides on Lian Zhen, so wherever Lian Zhen sits, that is where Hua Lu is — more like a bonus that moves with the market. So the detector asks two different questions: is this star present, and which star carries this mark. Only when both routes reach the Life Palace trinity does the double-wealth pattern form; one alone, however strong, is not this pattern.
