Sky Prison Canopy

Heaven-plate Xin over earth-plate Gui: Xin is the heavenly prison, Gui the Canopy and celestial net. Two banes combined signal sun and moon losing their light and blundering into the net — an ominous pattern in which every move, advance or halt, goes wrong.

Heaven plate Xin + Earth plate Gui

In Depth

Heavenly Prison under the Canopy refers to heaven-plate Xin over earth-plate Gui. Xin is the heavenly prison, governing faults and punishment; Gui is the celestial net, also styled the Canopy, governing concealment, darkness, and restraint. With the prison above and the net below, a person caught between them is wrapped in a double snare. The classical reading — sun and moon lose their light, one blunders into the heavenly net, every movement is out of joint — describes darkness ahead, no visible direction, and every action mistimed. The pattern's harm lies in the word obscured: not open calamity, but distorted information and misjudgment breeding chained errors. Its severity is heavy, and it is especially hostile to decisions — contracts, verdicts, career choices, choice of partner — because what one sees now is rarely the whole picture. Structurally, Gui water is produced by Xin metal: metal feeds water and the water grows darker, so the baneful current circulates without pause and resists quick resolution. An auspicious door in the palace parts the clouds to reveal the moon, easing the harm by a degree; wait quietly for information to clarify. With the Death Door or Block Door, the blockage doubles and one can barely move at all. In practice, the first duty under this pattern is to verify information and suspend decisions; those already inside the net should retreat in order to advance, accepting small faults to escape large disasters. If the pattern falls into Emptiness, the net has a tear — restraints loosen and a gap opens for slipping free. At the turn of autumn into winter, when Xin and Gui are both strong, the harm peaks.

Readings by Topic

Career

The workplace feels like thick fog: most of what you hear is distorted, and career decisions made now step on hidden traps. Do not change jobs or take over projects of unclear provenance. Hold position, verify through multiple channels, and move only when the picture clears.

Wealth

Money channels are veiled: investment targets are hiding something, and the books have holes you cannot see. Contracts signed and money placed under this pattern breed regret afterward. Pause and observe; those already invested should audit and probe quickly, and pull out early if problems surface.

Relationships

There is concealment in the relationship — the other party is keeping something from you, or the image you see differs sharply from reality. For new romance, understand deeply before investing. For marriage, make no major decisions about union or separation right now; talk things through openly first.

Health

The condition shows hidden depth: surface symptoms are mild while the underlying problem may not be, and the risk of misdiagnosis or missed diagnosis runs high. Focus on the kidneys, endocrine system, eyes, and depressive moods. A thorough, deep examination is warranted — as is a second opinion from another hospital.

Travel

Travel is highly unfavorable: getting lost, missing connections, being stranded, with risks doubling at night and in rain or fog. The pattern carries the image of blundering into the net — in unfamiliar places, do not readily trust those offering to show the way. Reschedule if possible; if you must go, travel with company and keep communications open.

Disputes & Lawsuits

The lawsuit is inauspicious: the case has been deliberately muddied, key evidence is veiled, and the file your side sees may not be the whole of it. Beware traps set to draw you into misspeaking. Have a lawyer verify every item, trust no oral promises, and put all settlement terms in writing.
