Ju Men and Tai Yang sit in the same palace (in the same palace = both stars falling inside one and the same palace) in the Life Palace itself, and the Life Palace lies in the Yin or the Shen branch. Those two conditions form the pattern. No brightness threshold applies, and neither malefics nor the Four Transformations are checked.
