Lou Jin Gou(Bond Mansion)

Lou Jin Gou is the traditional deity title for Bond Mansion, number 16 in the atlas and part of the Western White Tiger. It follows Legs Mansion and precedes Stomach Mansion. This Chinese Medieval reconstruction contains 3 stars and 2 segments; HIP 8903 is the red-ringed reference star.

This map follows Stellarium’s Chinese Medieval reconstruction: north is up, east is left, and a red ring marks the determinative star. Lines are visual aids, not physical connections. An asterism is not the whole mansion region.

Reading this star map

Bond has one star at upper left and a pair at lower right. The higher star in that pair is the reference. Its two segments differ noticeably in drawn length, but this projection alone does not tell us which stars are closer together in three-dimensional space.

Understanding the deity title

The traditional title 婁金狗 (Lou Jin Gou) combines the mansion character 婁, the association 金, and the animal image 狗. The astronomical entry is Bond Mansion. A deity portrait expresses cultural imagery; a star map records positions and connecting lines. They can be read together without expecting the star pattern to resemble the animal.

What does this calculator result mean?

If a birthday lookup returns this mansion, the entered date is assigned to it by our daily almanac rules. It does not mean everyone born that day shares a personality, or that the Moon was inside this star pattern. Compare calendar, date and assignment system before comparing tools.

Further reading: personality associations

The historical text describes the roles of celestial asterisms. The life and personality associations below are our modern interpretations, not historical claims about people born on a particular date.

Lou is linked with tending animals and supplying rites. The modern analogy is the person checking materials before an event and maintaining a task over time. Quiet provision makes things run smoothly, but its workload needs to be visible and shared.
