This map follows Stellarium’s Chinese Medieval reconstruction: north is up, east is left, and a red ring marks the determinative star. Lines are visual aids, not physical connections. An asterism is not the whole mansion region.

Reading this star map

Willow’s eight stars spread horizontally. A compact group on the right leads into a longer extension toward the left. The reference sits at the far right in the higher part of that group. Start with this clear landmark and trace leftward rather than guessing an order from apparent brightness.

Understanding the deity title

The traditional title 柳土獐 (Liu Tu Zhang) combines the mansion character 柳, the association 土, and the animal image 獐. The astronomical entry is Willow Mansion. A deity portrait expresses cultural imagery; a star map records positions and connecting lines. They can be read together without expecting the star pattern to resemble the animal.

What does this calculator result mean?

If a birthday lookup returns this mansion, the entered date is assigned to it by our daily almanac rules. It does not mean everyone born that day shares a personality, or that the Moon was inside this star pattern. Compare calendar, date and assignment system before comparing tools.

The historical text describes the roles of celestial asterisms. The life and personality associations below are our modern interpretations, not historical claims about people born on a particular date.

Liu is linked with preparing food and harmonizing flavors. A modern metaphor is remembering different tastes or finding words that make a difficult point easier to hear. Harmony need not mean diluting one's own needs; there can be a dish the cook enjoys too.
