Bi Yue Wu(Net Mansion)

Bi Yue Wu is the traditional deity title for Net Mansion, number 19 in the atlas and part of the Western White Tiger. It follows Hairy Head Mansion and precedes Turtle Beak Mansion. This Chinese Medieval reconstruction contains 9 stars and 8 segments; HIP 20889 is the red-ringed reference star.

This map follows Stellarium’s Chinese Medieval reconstruction: north is up, east is left, and a red ring marks the determinative star. Lines are visual aids, not physical connections. An asterism is not the whole mansion region.

Reading this star map

Net’s nine stars are unevenly distributed: the left and center are crowded, and one star extends far down to the right. The reference lies toward the upper left. Inspect the long lower-right extension separately from the short left-hand segments before reading the whole shape.

Understanding the deity title

The traditional title 畢月烏 (Bi Yue Wu) combines the mansion character 畢, the association 月, and the animal image 烏. The astronomical entry is Net Mansion. A deity portrait expresses cultural imagery; a star map records positions and connecting lines. They can be read together without expecting the star pattern to resemble the animal.

What does this calculator result mean?

If a birthday lookup returns this mansion, the entered date is assigned to it by our daily almanac rules. It does not mean everyone born that day shares a personality, or that the Moon was inside this star pattern. Compare calendar, date and assignment system before comparing tools.

Further reading: personality associations

The historical text describes the roles of celestial asterisms. The life and personality associations below are our modern interpretations, not historical claims about people born on a particular date.

Bi is associated with frontier defense and hunting. The modern analogy is sustained attention: learning weak points and waiting for evidence rather than relying on luck. Focus needs occasional distance so that changed circumstances do not go unnoticed.
