Reading this star map
Wall is an almost vertical pair, with the reference star below. It follows Encampment and closes the Black Tortoise’s seven mansions. Each diagram is scaled independently, so placing the Wall and Encampment images side by side does not reconstruct their actual separation in the sky.
Understanding the deity title
The traditional title 壁水貐 (Bi Shui Yu) combines the mansion character 壁, the association 水, and the animal image 貐. The astronomical entry is Wall Mansion. A deity portrait expresses cultural imagery; a star map records positions and connecting lines. They can be read together without expecting the star pattern to resemble the animal.

「主文章，天下圖書之秘府也」《晉書》卷十一・天文志上・二十八舍Bi is described as an archive of writings and books. The modern analogy is preserving context: recording a meeting's conclusion or why a decision was made. Useful records help people move forward; collecting everything or endlessly perfecting notes can instead keep life in an older version.
